London's Golders Green underground train station was closed on Monday due to security alert over an abandoned vehicle outside it, The Daily Express reported. 

A spokesman for Transport for London said the station, which is located in the heart of the city's Jewish community, was closed due to a security alert.

A London police spokesman said they had been alerted to an abandoned car near the station. 

Police were trying to trace the owner and as a precaution they were looking for anything suspicious, the spokesman added.
