Interior Minister Magdy Abdel Ghaffar ordered on Wednesday the ban of trucks on Suez/Ismailia road in both directions during daytime hours from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The minister's decision is to be applied on all trucks except those loaded with petroleum materials and supply commodities.

The decision aims at easing road traffic congestion on the road during the rush hour.

It also came after Tuesday's collision between a school bus and a truck that left four persons dead and 21 others injured.
