A Japanese passenger plane made an emergency landing after developing engine trouble on Wednesday morning in western Japan. The aircraft returned to the airport where it took off and made a safe landing, according to Japan's (NHK WORLD) website. The Japan Air Commuter Bombardier DHC-8 was on a flight from Fukuoka to Miyazaki. Firefighters say there were no injuries among the approximately 50 crew and passengers onboard. The airline says the pilot shut off the plane's left engine after gauges showed an increase in temperature about 10 minutes after takeoff.
