Khartoum Airport has obtained the International Operation Efficiency Certificate, a matter which is considered an outstanding historic accomplishment that qualifies Khartoum Airport to cope with the standards and requirements set by the International Aviation Organization. Addressing a festival held on this occasion Wednesday morning, the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority, Engineer Mohamed Abdul-Aziz, said that getting the International Operation Efficiency Document will be regarded as the start for enhancement and promotion of Khartoum Airport, explaining that this achievement was the fruit of continuous work for two years. He said that this achievement was also a fruit of the strategy worked out by the Civil Aviation Authority, pointing out that the International Organization for civil Aviation has the introduction of new texts of Annex XIV of the Chicago Convention of Civil Aviation to be a framework for licensing airports and in accordance with the standards and methods of work starting in 2005. For his part, director of Khartoum International Airport Salah Salem, said that  "this came as a result of continuous development at the airport and the apparent increase in air traffic, indicating that this license enhance the efficiency of air safety and ensure safe aviation.
