An EgyptAir flight heading from Abu Dhabi to Cairo was delayed on Saturday due to a technical malfunction.

An alternative plane was provided and will leave Abu Dhabi at 8:15 pm UAE Time, said a well-placed source with EgyptAir.

The 186 passengers on board were taken out of the airplane as they will board another one at 8:15 pm (UAE time), the source added.
