A spokesperson for Sudan’s Civil Aviation Abdel-Hafiz Abdel-Rahim told Arabstoday that a technical malfunction prevented a passenger plane from resuming its flight to Cairo early on Wednesday. The plane returned to Khartoum and the flight has been delayed until the problem is repaired. Abdel Rahim added that authorities have not announced an emergency as the incident did not require any exceptional measures, as other flights were not affected by the incident.
