Phoenicia Hotel celebrated Friday its golden jubilee under patronage of Prime Minister Najib Mikati. \"This hotel was once identified with war, and now it has come to represent adventure and Lebanese initiative,\" said Mikati, who lauded the pivotal role Phoenicia Hotel has played in the past fifty years in tourism in Lebanon and the East. Mikati granted Phoenicia Corporation the National Cedar Citation on behalf of President Michel Sleiman.
