Low cost air carriers Ryanair and Easyjet have announced a reduction in flights to Morocco, in a measure slated to damage Morocco\'s tourism sector. The announcement comes just weeks after another low cost company, Jetairfly based in Belgium, announced it was reducing flights, mostly connecting Casablanca and Fes to Paris. The cuts, due to reduced revenues, come in the midst of the tourism season, at a time when Morocco could have benefited from the crisis of other tourism markets, notably Spain and Tunisia. An estimated 10 million people visited Morocco last year making tourism the country\'s second main contributor to Gross Domestic Product. (ANSAmed)
