A new train between New Borg el Arab and Sidi Gaber stations in Alexandria is now operative, said Ahmed Ibrahim el Desqouki, the chairman of the New Borg el Arab city administrative department, Monday.

Four trips will be conducted on a daily basis, Desouki said.

He put the cost of operating the train at 278,000 per month, noting that the administrative department of the New Borg el Arab city will cover the sum until the railway authority makes up for the train's expenses.
