Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA)

Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) today asserted that the fee unification with the Foreign Ministry will be in effect on 25 October 2014, the beginning of the Islamic new year (Hijri year). This will include amendment of fees of some services as part of the implementation of the decision of the cost-cutting and productivity committee in ministries and government bodies No (1-37/2014) dated on 27 March 2014.
The fee amendment will mainly cover foreign visitors, but with a slight effect on Bahraini citizens, while the fees at the King Fahad Causeway will remain unchanged. The NPRA has also announced that it will introduce more facilities in 2015.
Since the beginning of October 2014, the NPRA has provided many facilities for tourists, visitors, foreign investors and businessmen, including increasing the number of countries whose citizens could obtain visas on arrival from 38 to 66 and grant citizens of 36 more countries e-visas, bringing the total number of countries to 102. They can apply for e-visas on www.evisa.gov.bh
