The Egyptian Railway Authority (ERA) said Upper Egyptian train movement returned to normal after a malfunction of Cairo-Aswan train at Minya station.

In a statement released on Monday, ERA said bogies of two carriages fell off track, forcing the suspension of the train before entering Minya station.

No injuries or damage were reported and the trains' movement resumed normally.
