The Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair angered Italian passengers when a flight attendant described their destination of Bari in southern Italy as a \"mafia city,\" the Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported Saturday. \"Welcome aboard this Ryanair flight from  Paris-Beauvais to Bari, city of the mafia and Saint Nicolas\", she said, according to the newspaper\'s local edition. It quoted a passenger but gave no details of the date. \"I feel terribly offended by the ridiculous way you treat your passengers,\" a young woman passenger wrote to the airline and the city\'s mayor. \"Bari is in Puglia, a region that supported Ryanair with public money so it could open an airport platform with us some years ago,\" she said.
