Up to 586 tourists visited Saint Catherine city over the past 24 hours, its municipality's head El-Sayed Abdel-Sadek said on Saturday.

The visitors toured Saint Catherine Monastery, the religious archaeological sites, the nature reserve and Bedouin camps, said the official.

The tourist included 445 Egyptians and 141 foreigners, he noted.
