Cairo Airport customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle EGP29 million worth of wine. 

According to security officials, the smuggled wine bottles were hidden in diplomatic pouches labeled as furniture and accessories containers.

They arrived at the airport coming from two African countries, the official said. 

A team of investigators was formed to probe the diplomatic violations.
