About 100,000 Chinese are expected to visit South Korea during the upcoming May Day holiday, having the local hospitality scene and retailers ready to embrace them, the state tourism agency here said Thursday.

The number of Chinese expected to visit during the long-haul holiday for international workers from April 30 to May 4 is up 20.6 percent from a year earlier, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) said.
