The value of tickets to travel from Egypt to Sudan via ferries was reduced from 260 to 220 pounds.
The decision aims at serving the social ties between Egypt and Sudan, Head of the High Dam Port Authority Assad Abdel Maguid said.
He added that children under eight years of age will be also exempted from paying the ticket.
