The occupancy rate of Cairo hotels has hit 90-100 percent, especially in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, the Egyptian Tourism Authority said on Tuesday.

In statements to MENA, Tourism Authority Board Member Soha el Turgoman said that Cairo has attracted tourists of different nationalities including Arabs, foreigners, Coptic diaspora, Japanese as well as Indians.

The cultural tourism contributed to the increase of occupancy rate in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan where occupancy hit 50 percent, Turgoman noted, adding that coastal tourism has been achieving lower progress rate.
