The Egyptian Transport Ministry denied media reports that Transport Minister Galal Saaed approved an increase of metro ticket price.

These are groundless reports, the ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The ministry noted that any news related to services offered to the public will be announced to all citizens through the media outlets.
