The US Treasury Department on Wednesday hit Iran's Mahan Air with sanctions, accusing it of secretly transporting members of the Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah. The announcement came a day after Washington said members of the Guards were involved in a plot to kill the Saudi ambassador in Washington.
