Jordan

The number of tourists from Gulf states visiting the Kingdom increased by 20 percent in the first five months of the year, according to Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nidal Qatamin.
The minister said in a press statement on Thursday that by the end of May this year, the number of tourists from Gulf states had risen to 354,943, compared to 345,618 for the same period of 2013.
"Visitors from Gulf states, mainly Saudi Arabia, represent 17 percent of the total tourists coming to Jordan," he said, adding that Gulf tourism is not affected too much by the instability in the region.
Qatamin added that Jordan has so much tourism potential that qualifies it to be one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the world.
