Arab League Ministerial Council .

The  150th ordinary session of the Arab League Ministerial Council chaired by Sudan has concluded in the Egyptian capital Cairo. The Saudi delegation was led by Foreign Minister Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.

The council affirmed its rejection and condemnation of attempts to end or diminish the role and mandate of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) through systematic Israeli campaigns.

The council called upon the international community to commit itself to empowering UNRWA and to secure adequate financial resources and contributions to its budget and activities so as to continue its role in providing essential services.

The council expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the member states hosting the Palestinian refugees and that contribute to 
UNRWA, especially Saudi Arabia, UAE and Kuwait.

The council called on the Arab states to activate the $ 100 million financial support to the State of Palestine to overcome its financial crunch.

The council thanked the kingdom for supporting Palestine, and its contribution in increase the capital of the Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds Funds, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
