U.S Pentagon revealed its intentions

U.S Pentagon revealed its intentions to accelerate the current military operations to liberate Mousl's right bank from the grip of ISIS, as Spokesperson Jeff Davis said that they will submit a preliminary plan in this regard to the White House during the next week.

The plan, according to Pentagon's spokesperson, will not be limited to the liberation of areas controlled by ISIS in Iraq and Syria only, but extending to the liberation of other areas in which the extremist elements exist in the other countries. He added that the Iraqi forces managed to liberate over 125 kilometres of territories controlled by the extremists since the launch of operations on Sunday.

In the same context,  the Iraqi forces launched a new phase of operations on early Wednesday in the western side of Mousl, as they resumed their advance in the villages located in southwest of Telaffar. Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) bombed a car bomb at Ain Tahlawy village, while the Iraqi air forces exploded three others and killed a sniper in the village.

According to a security source, Nineveh police arrested five extremist militants loyal to ISIS at Zahraa district, in the eastern side of the city, as they received information from the residents over their hiding in a house of displaced family in the area.

The sources added that fighter jets launched intensive raids on the militants' sites in the surrounding areas of Mousl Airport destroying a convoy carrying ten trucks of armed people and military equipment during their way to the airport to support their defensive lines.

On his hand, Turkish Foreign Minister Mawlod Oglu stressed his country's refusal to the entry of Popular Mobilization Forces, dominated by the Shiite fighters, to Mousl which has Sunni majority. He stressed that their presence in the city, which is considered the second largest city in Iraq, poses serious threat.

He added, "We can take the necessary measures to liberate Syria's Raqqa, controlled by ISIS, by drafting the right strategy with the suitable elements not through the groups exercising ethnic cleansing to achieve their own agendas."

Leading member of Popular Mobilization Forces Abu Mahdi Al Mohandas praised the efforts exerted during the first phase of the current military operations to liberate Mousl, saying that they managed to achieve their objectives. He promised to take serious steps to complete the process, stressing that the matter needs a lot of efforts and time.
