Egypt’s Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr met with EU new Ambassador to Cairo Evan Sorchos to discuss the new priorities of cooperation between the two sides during the coming period.
The Egyptian minister stressed the need for pushing forward the relations between Egypt and the European Union, saying that the EU is considered one of the major partners to Egypt to achieve economic development. She added that the governmental social and economic program aims to improve the economic position and to promote the living standard of the Egyptian citizens.
She stressed that the country is keen to welcome all investors aspiring to work in Egypt during the coming period, saying that the government works to provide all possible facilities to increase their investments. She added that they are also support the international partners to perform a role to support the country’s projects of development.
The two sides discussed the ways to push forward the bilateral relations between Egypt and the European Union especially in the field of economic cooperation. They also talked by about the priorities of partnership during the coming period, including the removal of mines and developing the small and medium projects.
On his hand, the EU ambassador praised the European relations with Egypt and the economic and social program adopted by the Egyptian government. He stressed that the EU is strongly keen to expand cooperation with Egypt during the coming period.
