Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh
Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh told Arabstoday who has his vote in the presidential run-off election scheduled for June.
“I am going to vote for Mohammed Morsi in the run-off election
because Ahmed Shafiq is affiliated to the pre-revolution regime and I cannot take action against Shafiq except to support his rival candidate. I hope that the result of the revolution will produce a civilian president and not a military one. Unfortunately, Shafiq does not differ from Mubarak; both of them were air force captains and are indifferent to the revolution.”
He added: \"I don\'t want to vote for Mohammed Morsi because I like him or his programme, but I am compelled in order not to let Shafiq gain power.”
Saleh he voted for Hamdeen Sabbahy \"because he represents a balanced country for all.\"
As for acting , he said: “I am now shooting \'9 Gameet el Dewal\' (9 Arab League Street) a show in which I play the role of a mechanical engineer who marries a lot and has a wife in every country...soon problems begin to appear. I hope the show will impress audiences in the upcoming Ramadan.”
As for reports that his role is similar to a character he played in the show “Sultan el-Gharam”- (Sultan of Love), he replied: “The two characters and stories are quite different.”
