During a friendly visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met with Islam Karimov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the president's palace in Tashkent, on Monday.
During the meeting, both parties discussed bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries; and in a bid to enhance opportunities for joint cooperation, they additionally discussed ways to expand their prospects in various fields.
The delegation accompanying HH included: Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi; Major General Dr. Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of the Office of HH the Minister. Col. General Rustam Inoyatov, Head of the National Security Service (SNB) of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a number of senior officials represented Uzbekistan during the meeting.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed expressed his gratitude to the warm welcome and hospitality that he and his delegation received in Uzbekistan. His Highness additionally expressed the keenness of the leadership for both countries to strengthen and develop relations between both parties in various fields in ways that serve the interests and aspirations of the two friendly nations and their people.
Upon their arrival at the Tashkent International Airport, Sheikh Saif and the accompanying delegation were greeted by Col. General Rustam Inoyatov, Head of the National Security Service (SNB) of the Republic of Uzbekistan; the Deputy National Security Advisor; and the Governor of Tashkent.
