Ghneimat chief for Al-Ghad and Al-Moayta for Al-Arab Al-Yawm

Ghneimat chief for Al-Ghad and Al-Moayta for Al-Arab Al-Yawm The journalism scene, and the face of media generally, witnessed various several changes in the recent weeks, which started with a large number of submitted resignations in Al-Arab Al-Yawm newspaper, followed by wave of changes in most leadership of local papers.
Samih al-Moayta, who left Al-Rai newspaper almost a week ago, after holding the post of chief editor for 4 months, was succeeded by his colleague Abdel Majid Asfour, one of the founders of the paper back in the seventies.
Al-Moayta had only quit for a few days before he started receiving several offers, till he finally settled for editor in chief at the Al-Arab Al-Yawm daily paper. The board of directors took the decision on Thursday, announcing that Al-Moayta is to start work early next week.
A few hours after the Al-Moayta’s news was made public, the board of directors of Al-Ghad decided to appoint Jumana Ghneimat chief editor of the paper, as Fouad Abu Hijla decided to submit his resignation from the post of chief editor in the same paper, without stating his reasons.  Both decisions were preceded by the resignation of Mostafa Saleh from the same post, last week.
Additionally, Fahd Khitan, former editor in chief of the daily Al-Arab Al-Yawm, is to start writing in Al-Ghad daily by the new year.
