Abu Dhabi University has achieved yet another academic accolade on the international higher education circuit, after having entered the ranks of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) top 700 world university rankings of 2014 -2015.
For the third year in a row, ADU was chosen from among more than 3,000 universities considered worldwide, and evaluated according to academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty to student ratio, citations per faculty, and international faculty and student ratio.
Commenting on this new accomplishment, Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University's Board of Directors, stressed that it confirms ADU's growing academic international standing, as well as translates the directives of the U.A.E.'s wise leadership in pursuing top rankings in various global competitiveness indicators, especially those pertaining to higher education.
"Although Abu Dhabi University is only in its 11th year since its inception in 2003, it has certainly held its own in the prestigious world-renowned Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking, being selected among the elite 700 from more than 3,000 universities that were reviewed", explained bin Harmal.
Further research into the QS methodology and ranking indicators has shown Abu Dhabi University to have scored amongst the coveted top 401+ in academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty to student ratio as well as citations per faculty.
Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University, explained that being one of the world's top 700 universities for a third year in a row is the result of years of hard intensive work, and qualifies as an acknowledgement of the dedication and efforts of the faculty, staff, students and alumni. It is also a salute to the community and strategic partners as their confidence in ADU's educational outcome has played a vital part in its success.
