Statistics from the Ranking Web of Universities
, which measures the quality of education and research at more than 20,000 universities around the world, showed Beni Suef has risen up the scale during the first half of this year.
President of Beni Suef University, Amin Lotfy, said the institution had worked hard for years to be included in the top 100 list, and put the positive result down to the efforts of its administrative staff, and the social and academic achievements of its teachers and students.
Lotfy said becoming an internationally competitive university required investing in scientific research and publishing findings internationally.
The quantity and diversity of research published by the university in prestigious international journals has grown, the university head explained.
Lotfy added that the university is looking forward to maintaining its new position and will seek climb even further up the ranks in the future.
