Ahlia University held its 12th graduation ceremony

Ahlia University held its 12th graduation ceremony this evening at the Gulf Hotel convention centre.

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa deputized the Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa to attend the event.
The graduation ceremony was attended by ministers, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps, Shura Council members, MPs, financiers, businessmen and leading personalities.
HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa conveyed greetings and congratulations from HRH the Premier to the graduates, wishing them success in their academic and professional career.
He stressed the Government’s keenness, chaired by HRH the Premier, on giving full priority to education, the cornerstone of sustainable development and progress.
He hailed the strides achieved by the public and private educational sectors, which enhanced Bahrain’s ranking on the index of education and human development.
He commended the contribution of private educational establishments in yielding generations of graduates to serve the national and participate in its development and progress.
He lauded Ahlia University for its keenness on keeping abreast of educational trends and consolidating relations with leading universities in the world.
He commended the efforts of Ahlia University President Board of Trustees’ Chairman Professor Abdulla Al-Hawaj, members of the academic and administrative staff.
Professor Al-Hawaj addressed the graduation ceremony, paying tribute to HRH the Premier, commending the Government for its support.
He stressed the achievements of Ahlia University which ranked 35th among more than 1000 Arab universities on the QS World University Rankings Index 2018.
On behalf of Ahlia University academic and administrative staff, graduates and parents, Professor Al-Hawaj extended deep thanks to HRH the Premier for patronizing the graduation ceremony.
The 12th Ahlia University batch included 400 students who graduated with BA and MA degrees.
