Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, and Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Happiness, visited the Ammar Bin Yasser school in Masfout area in Ajman and were briefed about the school’s programmes and initiatives to promote happiness and positivity among its students, administrative staff and teaching staff, as part of the "100 Days of Positivity" initiative.
The initiative was organised for the nation’s schools under the "National Programme for Happiness and Positivity" by the Ministry of Education.
Both ministers attended an online brainstorming session that was organised by the school using the Skype application. Also in attendance was Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman. The panel answered questions from students and spoke with them about the importance of positive behaviour in school and in the community. They also highlighted the necessity of perseverance, diligence and excellence in order to achieve their dreams and ambitions.
The "100 Days of Positivity" initiative aims to promote awareness among students and the wider community to encourage positive behaviour, as well as to educate students and raise their potential by encouraging them to adopt positive behaviours in their daily lives. It also aims to support positive learning practices in all national schools and highlight best practices and initiatives.
According to Al Hammadi, his ministry will continue its various projects for educational development, best practices and methods in accordance with national directives and the UAE leadership’s desire to achieve world-class excellence in education, which will promote progress and competitiveness for the nation’s economic and social development.
He added that his ministry is keen to include the promotion of positive values and morals into the national education curriculum and in school lessons to comply with the "100 Days of Positivity" initiative. This constitutes an important stage in the development of the national education system, and it will enable UAE students to meet their responsibilities for building a better future and continuing the national renaissance.
