Culture Minister Helmy el Namnam left Cairo on Saturday going to Algiers to take part in the 21th International Book Fair of Algiers.
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal opened the activities of the book fair on Wednesday.
It commemorates a number of writers and culture figures from Algeria and Egypt including Nobel Prize-winning author Naguib Mahfouz.
The book fair is expected to receive hundreds of thousands as its 2015 round received up to 1.5 million visitors.
