Minister of Defense Colonel General Sedki Sobhi on Wednesday said that the Armed Forces are the protective shield of security and stability in Egypt and the entire region.

At a meeting with officers and soldiers of the Second Field Army, he conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to them for their heroic role and sacrifices for purging Sinai of black terrorism.

He added that the strategy of the Armed Forces is based on protecting the Egyptian national security, safeguarding the borders and cooperating with the Interior Ministry for securing the internal front.

The meeting started with standing a minute of silence over the martyrs of the nation.
