Health Minister Ahmed Emad el Din left for Siwa Oasis, some 300 km to the west of Marsa Matrouh governorate, on Thursday to attend a conference on medical tourism.
The health minister, on behalf of Prime Minister Sherif Ismail, along with the tourism, local development, agriculture ministers and the Matrouh governor participate in the Siwa Oasis Medical Tourism Conference that will wrap up its activities on Friday.
Health Ministry Spokesman Khalid Magahed said the health minister and his accompanying delegation will participate in the handover ceremony of dates processing factory by the United Arab Emirates.
On the sidelines of the conference, the minister will attend the signing of contracts worth EGP 2 billion to set up investment projects, the spokesman added.
