King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Safriya Palace today Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain as part of a regional tour.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister conveyed to HM the King a message from Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi on strong bilateral fraternal relations, the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest. He also conveyed to HM the King the greetings of the Egyptian President and his best wishes to the Bahraini people of more progress and prosperity.

HM the King asked the Egyptian Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to President Abdelfattah El-Sisi and his best wishes to the Egyptian people of further development. He stressed deep-rooted Bahraini-Egyptian relations, lauding the advanced level of bilateral cooperation thanks to the leaderships’ keenness to bolster coordination for the best interest of both countries and peoples. 

HM the King underlined the importance of exchanging such visits which are a boost to the march of consultation at all levels, especially amid the current circumstances undergone by the region which require synergised efforts to confront current challenges.

HM King Hamad hailed Egypt’s stances, under the leadership of President Abdelfattah El-Sisi, in supporting Bahrain, commending Egypt’s pivotal role in defending Arab issues and interests and protecting the Arab national security.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister voiced Egypt’s appreciation of fraternal relations with Bahrain, lauding the kingdom’s inherent Arab stances and its honourable role in backing pan-Arab work.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister arrived in Bahrain earlier today and was welcomed mainly by his Bahraini counterpart Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Egyptian Ambassador to Bahrain Suha Ibrahim Refa’at
