French President Emmanuel Macron praised on Tuesday a visit currently paid by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to France.

Speaking at a press conference along with President Sisi, Macron said the visit reflects strong relations between Paris and Cairo.

Macron also voiced pleasure for receiving Sisi in Paris for the first time since he assumed office in May 2017.

The Egyptian and French sides tackled several issues as part of partnership between the two countries, notably the situation in the Middle East region, Macron said.
