His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa

 His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa praised the role of sport clubs in upholding Bahrain’s image and boosting its status at the regional and international level. He also pointed out success of the sport sector in reflecting cohesion characterizing the Bahraini society.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today President of Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in the presence of Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder.
Shaikh Isa introduced to HRH the Prime Minister BBA board members as well as Board Chairman and members and players of Muharraq Club who won Khalifa bin Salman Basketball Cup 2017. He also introduced to HRH the Prime Minister the Board Chairman and members and players of Manama Club who won 2017 Basketball Championship.
HRH the Premier lauded the role of the youth in developing the sport momentum stressing that their efforts will remain appreciated. He pledged to provide the youth and sport sector with more support, stressing that developing the sport sector is going ahead unabated. He congratulated the Board Chairmen, members and players of Muharraq and Manama Clubs for their distinguished achievements, wishing them more success in upcoming local, regional and international competitions.
HRH the Prime Minister hailed the efforts of BBA President in developing basketball in Bahrain, praising the honourable presence of Bahrain basketball in internal and external competitions and stressing the positive role of sport in promoting good values and achieving rapprochement between people. He also pointed out the great support given to the sport sector which yielded many achievements and helped uphold the kingdom’s image in various fora.
Shaikh Isa thanked HRH the Premier for his tremendous support to Bahrain sport and athletes, describing it as an incentive to bring about more accomplishments. He described HRH the Prime Minister’s directives as a roadmap for the next period to maintain previous achievements and build on them.
