President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had a busy schedule last week that included a number of activities and meetings, most notably inaugurating on Saturday a number of mega national projects in Kafr el Sheikh governorate, topped by the largest fish farming project in the Middle East and Africa.

Sisi listened to head of the National Company for Fisheries and Aquaculture Hamdy Badeen who presented a report on Ghalyoun fish farming project.

Sisi laid down the foundation stone of the second stage of fish farming project in Ghalyoun area in Kafr el Sheikh.

Delivering a speech during the inauguration, Sisi stressed that no one can touch Egypt's water share of the Nile River.

Sisi said that talks were held with the Ethiopian and Sudanese sides on several issues, topped by Egypt's water share of the Nile River.

He added that Ghalyoun project for fish farming and other development projects are just a step on the road, not an end in themselves.

An agriculture project for building greenhouses on 20,000 feddans is expected to be finalized by June 30, 2018, Sisi said.

Later in the day, the president inspected the development research lab that has been established on 600 square kilometers.
