French President Emmanuel Macron

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron on the latest developments in the Middle East.

The contact tackled the efforts both Egypt and France can exert to boost Mideast stability.

Later in the day, Sisi conferred with a delegation of the Evangelical sects from all over the world, which visited Egypt to participate in the Egypt's Evangelical Church's ceremonies to mark the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

The president greeted the delegation over the anniversary, stressing Egypt's appreciation for the Evangelical community in the country. Sisi renewed keenness to promote inter-faith dialogue for its importance among all peoples of the world.

The Evangelical Church leaders, for their part, showed appreciation for Egypt's efforts to cement stability in the Middle East and its keenness on being a model of peaceful co-existence among the followers of all faiths.

They confirmed that these efforts will effectively contribute to boosting accord among the peoples and cultures of the world and combating violence and extremism.
