Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi arrived to France on Monday leading a high-level delegation on a visit during which he discussed a number of bilateral files and conditions in the Middle East.

Minister of State at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne welcomed the Egyptian president at the Orly International Airport along with France's Ambassador to Egypt Stéphane Romatet and Egypt's Ambassador in Paris and permanent delegate to the UNESCO Ihab Badawi.

Sisi met Eric Trappier, the chairman of Dassault Aviation, a French maker of Rafale fighter jets.

During the meeting, President Sisi hoped for boosting cooperation with the French company during the coming period. The president also commended the efficiency of the Rafale jets in carrying out military tasks accurately.

For his part, the Dassault chairman appreciated cooperation with Egypt, stressing his company’s keenness to push such cooperation forward.

President Sisi also conferred with French Defense Minister Florence Parly. At a banquet hosted by the French minister, the two sides discussed means of boosting defense and military cooperation between the two countries.
