President Abdel Fattah El Sisi conferred on Wednesday with French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire on means of buttressing economic cooperation and establishing new projects.

The French minister underlined the importance of economic partnership with Egypt in the various sectors, saying the new projects can be implemented in the coming months.

Le Maire also probed providing more facilities to up investment and trade exchange, asserting his country's backing for the economic reforms launched by Sisi two years ago.

Sisi, for his part, highlighted the positive results of the economic reform program, such as increasing the foreign currency reserves with the Central Bank of Egypt and enhancing growth rates, along with redressing imbalances of the foreign exchange market.

Later in the day, Sisi held a meeting with Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Secretary General Angel Gurria in Paris.

Egypt is seeking to benefit from policies and experts of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Sisi said.

For his part, Gurria expressed satisfaction over coordination and cooperation with Egypt which is maintained for 10 years now.

The Egyptian president also met with Speaker of the National Assembly of France Francois de Rouge in Paris.

Concluding his successful visit to France, Sisi convened with French Interior Minister Gérard Collomb and discussed with him means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in view of the challenges besetting the Middle East and the growing danger of terrorism worldwide
