Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Beshara Boutros Rahi called on President of the Republic Michel Aoun and Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri for speeding up the formation of a new government for the sake of the country. 

"It's unacceptable to leave the country in stalemate in not forming of a new government," Rahi said during his pastoral visit to Baasir village. 

The prelate also appealed to officials to rise above their personal interests and narrow calculations if they want to carry out any beneficial initiative far from quota sharing.
