H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior and Honorary Chairman of the Emirates Strategic Planning Association, today launched the 4th Annual Conference of the Association, titled, "Foresighting Future and Achieving Welfare for 2050".
The session was attended by Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council, FNC, Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Director of the Martyrs' Families' Affairs Office at the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, and several FNC members.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif honoured Dr. Al Qubaisi, the conference’s speakers and sponsors, the Zayed University work team and everyone that contributed to the conference’s success.
Major General Dr. Abdul Quddous Al Obaidly, Chairman of the Board of the Emirates Strategic Planning Association, expressed his utmost appreciation for the supreme leadership and its support, while highlighting the importance of the association’s role and its contributions to society as the authority specialising in strategic planning and future foresight, serving all local government sectors.
He praised the efforts of the FNC’s speaker and members in the success of 4th conference and to reduce its difficulties. He also valued the support of H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif, and his constant support for the association and its projects.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, between the Consultative Council of Sharjah and the Emirates Strategic Planning Association.
HH also witnessed the signing of an MoU between the Khalifa Empowerment Programme for Students, Aqdar, and the Emirates Strategic Planning Association, as part of the launch of the National Charter for Students’ Awareness and for developing effective communication between the two authorities. The MoU also aims to strengthen the community against the challenges faced by young generations, the pillars and hope of the future, as part of the joint responsibility between various federal and local government institutions, authorities and departments.
Colonel Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Dabal, General Co-ordinator of Aqdar, stated that according to the MoU, both sides will work on establishing the values of national loyalty and belonging, as well as strengthening the national identity and citizenship practices while reinforcing and supporting social values.
