First Vice President of Sudan Hassan Saleh took oath before Sudanese President Omar al Bashir at the Presidential Palace in Khartoum.

In press statements, Saleh said that he appreciates the confidence of the Sudanese president in him.

It is the first time Sudan has had a prime minister since Bashir came to power in 1989.
