Cholera cases

Six cholera cases were detected in Abu-Ghreib and Mahmoudiya areas of Baghdad, the Baghdad governor said.

Governor Ali Al Tamimi called for forming a commission for following up the consequences of the spread of this disease.

He blasted the Iraqi Health Ministry for keeping mum.

He said the patients are in stable conditions, urging citizens to take precautionary measures against the disease.

Tamimi considered water in Abu-Ghreib area which is not fit for human consumption or irrigation as the main reason behind the spread of the disease.

The governorate needs 1,2 billion dinars to finalize water project that would provide Abu-Ghreib area with clean water.
