The Saudi Health Ministry announced six new cases of the corona virus, known as Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) while six cases were cured.
The new cases bring to 1,162 the number of cases detected in Saudi Arabia since June 2012, a statement by the ministry said on Tuesday.
The statement added that 498 cases died and 598 cases were cured, while 57 cases are still receiving treatment along with nine other cases isolated in their homes.
