African heads of state and government participating in the 25th African Summit held here reviewed in a closed-door session a number of reports on Ebola epidemic, the steps needed for the implementation of Agenda 2063 and means of providing alternative funding resources for the African Union.
They also reviewed reports submitted by the African Peace and Security Council and its activities in Africa and a report on the progress achieved in the motherhood and childhood field.
The African leaders are expected to discuss later in the day other reports on the activities of the African Union bodies, a report by Senegal and the governments of New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) as well as a high-level committee on trade and other reports from Sierra Leone and Liberia.
