Ottawa - XINHUA
Canadian Foreign Minister Rob Nicholson announced Tuesday that Canada has delivered a mobile field hospital to Ukraine's armed forces in Kiev.
The mobile field hospital is part of the Canadian government's 11-million-Canadian-dollar (some 8 million U.S. dollars) assistance package of non-lethal equipment announced last November.
It is a durable, transportable structure that comes complete with 20 beds, power generators and a functioning heating, cooling and ventilation system.
The structure will be primarily used for surgeries and other procedures that require a sanitary and safe environment in areas affected by conflict.
