Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil on Tuesday inaugurated a symposium on upgrading the strategy of manufacturing medical equipment.
In a speech he delivered at the inauguration ceremony, he highlighted the importance of supporting the manufacture of medical supplies in a way that contributes to enabling the Egyptian product to compete on local, Arab and African markets.
He added that this sector possesses big investment opportunities and can attract local and foreign investments.
For his part, Minister of State for Military Production Major General Mohammed Assar, who attended the event, asserted that Egypt possesses modern industry in the sector of medical equipment.
In his speech at a seminar on upgrading the strategy of manufacturing medical equipment, he added that enhancing national industries is a major factor for restoring balance to the Egyptian economy.
He pointed out that several important initiatives are now being studied for supporting the manufacturing of medical supplies and equipment.
