The Egyptian Health Ministry confirmed on Sunday that all the Egyptian pilgrims who have arrived in Saudi Arabia are in a good health, denying they suffered from any epidemics or serious diseases.
Some 106 pilgrims, including 47 in Mecca and 59 in Madina, converged on the Egyptian Medical Mission's makeshift clinics till now and that only five of them were admitted to hospitals, said head of the medical mission Hisham Atta in a statement by the ministry.
Two of these cases checked out of the hospital while the rest is still under medical examination, he added.
There are no deaths reported among the pilgrims till now, he said.
Ahead of the hajj season, the ministry announced that it established 35 makeshift medical clinics comprising 350 doctors and nurses to provide healthcare services for Egyptian pilgrims.
