Chief of Egypt's medical mission Hisham Atta on Saturday said the health condition of all pilgrims in Mecca and Medina is reassuring.

There are no critical cases among the Egyptian pilgrims, he added.

Atta said that the cases received by the medical clinics are normal.

He added that the mission is also following up the 25 pilgrims wounded in Mina stampede. "All the 25 injured were in stable condition except for one case that needs intensive treatment."

Earlier in the day, Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, who is also the head of the Hajj mission, said that the death toll from a stampede during a Hajj ritual in Saudi Arabia rose to 37 among the Egyptian pilgrims.

He added that the mission is making contacts with the deceased pilgrims' families asking if they wish to bury the bodies in Mecca or in Egypt.
